What are clay target shooting fundamentals?

I am a beginner shooter and I am looking for ways of learning to shoot correctly. What are some basic principles about clay target shooting?

1) Get a gun that fits you and is comfortable to shoot. 2) Start with a good instructor who can show you the fundamentals (proper swing, eye on target not gun, hold point, look point, etc. etc) 3) Practice, practice and continue to take instruction.

The fundamentals of clay target shooting are: 1. Position--face your break point; 2. Stance--70% of weight on support side foot, support knee slightly bent, and shoulders ahead of hips; 3. Gun mounted into pocket of shoulder, firm cheek weld, and shooting eye properly aligned at rib; 4. Focus is on the target. If there is a certified instructor in your area I suggest you take one or two lessons to get these fundamentals absolutely correct. Then as you progress with you shooting you can schedule additional lessons as needed. If not, there are several excellent books on the market including Chris Batha's Breaking Clays and Gil and Vicki Ashes' series of book. There are also videos that may be helpful.
