For trap shooting - maybe. Some trap shooters swear by them. In skeet and sporting clays, release triggers are generally regarded as a safety problem, and some clubs ban them altogether. If you can come up with a better way to cure your flinch, such as a better-fitting gun or lighter load, try it - you'll likely be better off in the long run.
